My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bane is a 2-year-old neutered male who's as handsome as he is full of personality! This fun-loving boy is playful, affectionate, and has a zest for life that will keep you on your toes. He thrives in environments where he can be active, engaging in games, running around, and playing with his dog friends. Bane is dog-friendly, so he'd be happy to share his playtime with other dogs, whether it's a game of chase or a romp in the yard.

While Bane enjoys the company of other dogs, he is not cat-friendly and would do best in a home without feline friends. Additionally, due to his exuberant energy, small children might not be the best fit for him either. He can get a bit too excited and playful, and might unintentionally overwhelm young children, so a household with older kids or adults who are familiar with his playful nature would be ideal.

Bane is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to his people. He'll happily shower you with affection, from tail wags to snuggles, always ready for some quality bonding time. His playfulness makes him a fantastic companion for active individuals or families who are looking for a dog that can keep up with an energetic lifestyle, but who also knows how to settle down for some love and attention.

Bane is looking for a home where he can be the center of attention, get plenty of exercise, and receive all the love and care he deserves. He's a great match for a family or individual who can provide a stimulating environment and an active lifestyle, where his playful and affectionate personality can truly shine.

Bane is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find his forever home. If you're looking for a handsome, energetic, and loving dog to share your life with, Bane could be your perfect match!

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of North Central Florida was created in 2018 when the leadership of the Alachua County Humane Society, Gainesville Pet Rescue, and Helping Hands Pet Rescue decided to permanently join forces. By becoming the Humane Society of North Central Florida, our organizations were able to effectively streamline services for pets and pet owners, eliminate any duplication of services, maximize our community’s resources, and improve the life-saving abilities of the entire region.

Our founding organizations have been dedicated to serving pets in Alachua County for more than 40 years. The Humane Society of North Central Florida is a limited intake, no-kill animal rescue shelter. The animals in our facility are transferred from open-intake and/or managed admission municipal shelters across North Central Florida. The Humane Society of North Central Florida is an independent, local 501(c)(3) organization. As such, we do not receive funding from federal agencies, nor are we affiliated with any other state or national organizations such as the Humane Society of the United States or the ASPCA.
