Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
7 y/o Knox was found stray east of Houston and brought to HBHR by a good Samaritan when no family could be found. Knox was malnourished with a thin brittle coat. He is looking good and has gained some weight but could stand to add a couple more pounds to his frame.
Knox has good house manners with the use of a dog door. He goes into a kennel willingly at mealtimes but prefers to sleep on a couch at night. He rarely shows any interest in toys or playing with his pack mates. He is a low keyed, mellow boy who perks up when there is a call about a squirrel sighting. He will then take off with ears flopping in the wind in hopes that he will get to catch one of those critters!
Knox enjoys a good ear scratch and some attention but never demanding of your time. He is still in recovery mode. Happy to be safe and well fed with a place to go to get out of the heat! He will make a wonderful companion for a person who is looking for a laid-back hound to share a life with!
