OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Willet came to us after being left outside in a kennel before we opened. To say the least, he is still a bit shaken up about being abandoned. When he first arrived, his skin was in pretty bad shape. It has been improving since being here and on a steady diet.
Willet is a timid fellow and he prefers a gentle approach; once he gets to know you, he will stick to you like glue! He loves being with people and receiving attention. He’s treat-motivated and gentle when taking from your hand. He walks well on the leash and we think he may know some basic obedience commands, but is too nervous to do them right now. He is afraid of cats and ignores the other dogs here at the shelter.
Weighs 73 pounds; $25 to adopt.
