Meet Lizzy: The 7-Month-Old Malinois

Lizzy is a spirited 7-month-old Malinois who is crate trained and excels in basic commands like "Come," "Sit," "Down," and "Stay." She's also responsive to "No" and "Yes," and understands "Out" to release her ball. Lizzy walks well on a leash and shows low reactivity to both people and dogs.

While she's made impressive strides, she’s still working on reducing occasional jumping—an area that’s already improved by 80% with reinforcement.

Lizzy is a playful and fun-loving pup with a great play drive. She adores her stuffed toys, has no aggression, and enjoys entertaining herself.

She’s currently available for adoption and is looking for a foster home where she can continue to thrive and learn.

Submit Application

Once your application is submitted and approved for the dog you are interested in, someone will call you to start the adoption process

ADOPTION FEE*: Fees vary due to costs put into them, but START at $400 for adults and $500 for puppies.

The adoption fee is for the adoption of the pet. We make sure that our animals are or will be spayed/neutered, receive the proper vaccines and are microchipped and we cover the cost for that if it's not already done before you adopt.

More about this rescue

A Wish for Animals is an all volunteer run organization trying to help as many homeless animals as possible. We work tirelessly to help these animals become adoptable and work hard to find the them the right match so that you can enjoy your pet for the rest of its' life.

During Covid we have been inundated with applications, so please be patient with us as we all work full time as well and are doing our best to care for our animals and find the right homes for them.
