Garbo and Gables are 4-month-old, playful kittens looking for their forever home together!
Gables the Siamese and Garbo the little white boy are playful, affectionate and friendly. Gables like to climb up to your shoulder and stay there for a few seconds before jumping down, he also likes to nurse on blankets and people's clothes, and make biscuits on people and on blankets. Garbo loves to cuddle near your face.
In their free time they enjoy playing with balls and wrestling each other. They haven’t quite figured out the laser pointer, but they are curious about it! They love to act like big kids, climbing their cat trees, weaving around the furniture and exploring everywhere that they can. They are typical kittens with lots of kitten energy. They want to play with their humans or each other until they wear themselves out and need snuggles.
Garbo and Gables currently live in a home with 2 adults! Before coming to Pet Haven they lived in a home with other cats, dogs and young kids. They are adaptable young cats and would probably really enjoy a busy and lively home with kiddos to chase and entertain them.
Garbo and Gables would love nothing more than to go to a forever home together with humans who are excited to join in on their kitten shenanigans. They promise to reward you with lots of laughs, joy and love! Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
