My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birthdate:  10/20/2023

Breed: One of a kind

Introducing the most optimistic cat you’ve ever met! Seems like an odd choice of adjectives for a cat, eh? Well, you’ll just have to trust us -  Porky is an optimist. You see, Porky and the rest of the Little Rascals came into our care from a really difficult environment, battling severe eye and upper respiratory infections, as well as malnutrition. With TLC in a foster home, they all began thriving.

A few months later, Porky became sick again. This time it was something called FIP. This illness required a long treatment in foster care, but never once did he lose his vim and vigor. Porky saw the path forward even while we worried and fussed. (Just know, that FIP is not contagious and Porky is cured!)

Every hurdle - big or small - Porky has met with a zest for life and a penchant for silliness. It certainly helped that he had his brother Alfalfa by his side, which is why we want to keep them together. But don’t worry, he has more than enough room in his heart for you. Porky is the friend you want by your side during life’s challenges and triumphs. Some of his favorite activities are playing with his brother/best friend, burrowing under blankets for snuggles, and gazing out the window at the bugs and birds outside. Porky is trusting and gentle, and loves to be slung over a shoulder while purring in your ear. He’s a chatty, playful, charismatic boy who will make you laugh daily. He redefines love and friendship. You don’t want to miss it.

Porky and Alfalfa are a bonded pair living in a foster home.  While they're not at the rescue, we'd be happy to arrange for you to meet them!
