Meet Hannah – A Shy Sweetheart Ready for a Loving Home!
About Me: Hello! I’m Hannah, a gentle and petite girl of just 1 year old, weighing around 40 lbs. I’m a bit shy and find the shelter environment a bit overwhelming, but don’t let that fool you—I have a heart full of love and a spirit that shines bright when I’m around my furry friends.
My Personality: Shy but Sweet: I might be a little nervous in new situations, but I come to life and show my true colors when I’m with other dogs. They help me feel safe and show me that the world isn’t so scary after all. Playful and Affectionate: Once I get comfortable, I love to play and cuddle. I’m looking for a patient and loving home where I can build my confidence and show you just how affectionate I can be.
My Ideal Home: I’d thrive in a calm and loving environment where I can gradually adjust to my new surroundings. Having another friendly dog around would be ideal as they help me feel more secure and happy. A quiet home with a patient family who understands my shy nature would be perfect!.

More about this shelter
In 1987, an initial attempt was made to organize a local humane society in Caroline County. While this attempt did not succeed, those same dedicated volunteers were not deterred.
From our humble beginnings 30 years ago, to where we are today, we are proud to be called “the little shelter that could”.
We provide service to our community through pet adoption, Rabies Clinics, Trap-Neuter-Return, Pet Pantry, Pet Lost & Found, Re-homing, Intake Diversion, Cremation
