My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nena
Domestic Short Hair, Born 2022, Grey, Spayed Female

What’s up, humans? I’m Nena, the gray sensation with a flair for the dramatic! I’m a playful whirlwind who loves to pounce on wand toys and gaze out the window, daydreaming about all the birdie shenanigans.

I’m sweet and friendly, though I can be a bit excitable and need some time to get fully comfy. I might enjoy rubbing against you and getting your attention, but I don’t always want pets in return… in these moments I might give you a glimpse of my sassy side. But never fear—it's all in good fun! Once I’m at ease, I’ll be ready for snuggles.

I’ve handled all the recent changes in my life with grace and am now ready to strut into a new home where I can shine. If you’re looking for a spirited, stylish companion who’s ready to bring some flair into your life, come meet me! Let’s make some fabulous memories together.

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
