Hey there, future human! I’m Lizzie, your soon-to-be best friend and the most fabulous black cat you’ll ever meet.

I was found wandering around Petsmart in Niles—probably left there by someone who didn’t realize how amazing I am. But hey, their loss is your gain! I’m a friendly, sweet, and affectionate gal who’s just waiting for the perfect person to swoop me up and give me the loving home I deserve.

I’ve got a major soft spot for wand toys and mice—seriously, they’re my jam. Whether I’m chasing after them or batting them around, you can bet I’m having a blast! And if you’re looking for a little shadow to follow you around and make sure you never feel alone, look no further. I adore lap time and will snuggle up with you for some cozy cuddles.

Now, I’ll admit, I can get a bit overstimulated sometimes, but that’s just because I’m still adjusting to all the new things around me. With a little patience and love, I’m sure to become the confident, snuggly companion you’ve always wanted.

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
