My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tilly, a beautiful one year old Tortoiseshell cat with a heart as warm as her multicolored coat. Tilly has been in foster care for over a year now, patiently waiting for a forever family of her own. Because Tilly is very shy and can be a bit timid, she has often been overlooked, and passed over, but she truly is a hidden gem with a heart of gold, and she's definitely worth a second look!

Tilly is truly shy, and doesn't give out her trust quickly or easily, but winning her heart and affection are worth the effort. Once she feels safe in your presence, she has an abundant amount of love to give. She likes living her life on a predictable routine, and every night at bedtime, she demands an hour or two of "Tilly Time" where she gets exclusive access to your lap and is brushed, loved, and told how beautiful and special she is. If you are late for bed, she will find you and let you know she needs you. And make no mistake... no other cats (or dogs) are allowed to intrude or share in this special time! If others try to invade her sacred space - Tilly will run them off! Then afterwards, once her love tank is full, she is ready to curl up and sleep by your side.

Throughout the day, Tilly is pretty easy going and independent. She's not very needy, and is content to spend her days doing her own thing. She's not the type to demand attention (except for Tilly Time, of course) but she'll always appreciate a gentle stroke, a tasty treat, or a kind word from her favorite people.

Tilly is also a gentle soul. She's not one for rough play, preferring instead to spend her time lounging in a sunny spot or watching the world go by from a window. She's the perfect cat for someone who wants a quiet, loyal companion to share their home with.

Adopting Tilly means welcoming a cat into your heart and home who will be a constant, gentle presence in your life. She may be shy at first, but once she trusts you, she'll show you a level of loyalty and affection that is truly heartwarming. So, if you're looking for a feline friend who will be by your side through thick and thin that isn't overbearing or needy, Tilly might just be that hidden treasure you didn't know you needed!
