My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trixie's Holiday Wish List: People, Pups, and (Maybe Someday) Kitties!

Oh, what fun it is to play with Trixie every single day! This bubbly little bundle of holiday cheer is here to brighten your life like twinkling Christmas lights on a snowy night. Trixie's got boundless energy, a wagging tail that could double as a snowstorm generator, and a personality as sweet as a sugar cookie fresh out of the oven.

She adores people (think: greeting you like Santa dropping off presents) and is besties with all the doggies she meets. As for kitties, well, Trixie's enthusiasm might be a little...over-the-top right now. But with some training and a sprinkle of holiday magic, she just might learn to make peace with feline friends. Until then, she's perfectly content being the life of the paw-ty with her human and canine buddies.

Ready to sleigh the holidays with Trixie by your side? She's got her stockings ready to hang-she just needs a forever home to hang them in!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
