My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Sissy! I may have a little deformity that makes getting around tricky, but I've still got a lot of spunk left in me! I'm trained to use pee pads, so I'm low-maintenance indoors, and I even enjoy some fresh air outside-especially when I get to ride in my stroller! I get along great with other dogs, but I'm looking for a home that understands my unique needs and appreciates my slower pace.

Even with my mobility issues, I've got a heart full of love and plenty of personality to share. If you're searching for a sweet and spunky senior who's happy to cuddle up or take a leisurely stroll, I'm your girl!

Complete the adoption application on our website and make your appointment to meet Sissy today. We have appointments available daily except Monday. Call the shelter with questions: 609-309-5214.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs).
