PIPER: THE DOG WHO JUST NEEDS ONE PERSON TO BELIEVE IN HER. -- Piper isn’t just another dog waiting for a home—she’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be someone’s entire world. When Piper first came to us, she was terrified. Life hadn’t been kind to her. But today? She’s rewriting her story—and you can be the hero who helps her finish it. Now, when Piper sees someone new, she wags her tail and hopes they’ll notice her. She wants to trust, and she’s learning every day that people can be kind. Watching her transformation is incredible—but nothing compared to what’s next. Imagine the feeling when she finally looks at you with complete trust, knowing she’s safe. That bond? It’s unbeatable. **WHAT MAKES PIPER SPECIAL: *She’s house-trained* and crate-trained. No mess, no fuss—she knows the ropes. She’s independent but loving. She’s not a Velcro dog, but she’ll be your shadow when she chooses to be. She’s calm in the house and loves her routines. She’s happiest knowing what’s next, and she’ll thrive in a predictable home. She’s loyal once she bonds. Earn her trust, and you’ll have a friend for life.
**WHO SHE’S LOOKING FOR:
Piper doesn’t need a circus or a house full of chaos. She needs a calm, confident person who will respect her space and earn her love—the kind of person who knows the best things in life are worth waiting for. If that’s you, you’ll gain a companion who will love you with her whole heart.
She prefers being the only dog (or maybe living with a respectful male her size). She’s not into cats or small critters—she wants your focus on her.
Piper has come so far. She just needs that one person to step up and complete her journey. But she doesn’t have forever. If you’ve ever wanted to make a real difference—to save a life, to witness an underdog thrive—this is it. Piper is in Naples, FL, and she’s ready for the next (and best) chapter. She just needs you to write it with her. Are you her person? Contact us today. Don’t let her story end here.

More about this rescue
We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.
It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
