My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If sunshine on your shoulders makes you happy, Sunshine in your home will make you smile! Okay, maybe the song wasn't about our Sunshine, but only because John Denver never met her. An elegant white and black Dalmation/Pointer mix, with a laugh-out-loud tickled smile, a cute black patch over one eye, and fold-over ears that sport little black dots, 7-month-old Sunshine can make anybody's day brighter.

A girl who truly wants to please her person, she watches her foster mom to try and match her energy. During playtime, she does crazy pup zoomies, loves to roll in the grass outside and run with the other dogs, but when mom is ready to sit and watch TV, Sunshine is a calm, intelligent presence who craves cuddles and affection. She melts into your arms when hugs are bestowed, and her foster says when she sits up straight, she has a regal bearing and looks like a queen.

Like all pups, Sunshine is a big chewer, but this well-behaved girl sticks to whatever chew toys are given to her, rather than furniture and shoes. She take direction and redirection beautifully, so training is rewarding for both her AND her human. She's house trained, sits, and "Waits" on command for feedings, has shown no aggression of any kind, and walks great on a leash. On walks, she doesn't react to cats, so she'd probably be fine with a feline housemate, especially since she tends to be a gentle soul.

Though a little timid about getting in the car, between her foster's training and Sunshine's keen intelligence and desire to learn, she'll probably be asking to drive sometime soon. (DON'T LET HER.)

Come see Sunshine and let her light up your life.
