Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie is a friendly, quiet female tortie-tabby mix born March 2024. She is quick to purr with those she knows. Dixie will look for you at the window, greet you at the door, and rub around your ankles. When not playing with her toys or interactively with you, she jumps into your lap. Dixie stays for short sessions of petting a brushing, but she would prefer to sit next to you. Dixie tolerates being picked up and carried.

She tolerates respectful dogs, likes male cats, as well as her siblings. Dixie enjoys watching the wildlife out the window. She is shy of strangers, and has met children over age 8, and if kids are gentle, she should do fine. Dixie uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. She would do best with another pet for a pal. Siblings are available.

This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored).
