My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dean is looking for a longterm foster to adopt situation. He has come to our rescue in deplorable condition and needs 6-8 months of rehabilitative health care (provided by the rescue) before he will be medically cleared for a healthy adoption. But we also know that helping rehabilitate and nurse a dog back to health can strengthen a bond between a dog and his/her family. So, if there is a family or person interested in adopting Dean and would be willing to foster and house him while he recovers medically, we would be potentially willing to place him in a loving home now.

dean is a 9-11 year old male English Bulldog who is very sweet and moves very slowly. He is currently being fostered in a home with dogs, cats, and children and doesn't pay much attention to anything or anyone. He is likely very uncomfortable and we probably won't see his true personality for some time.

Additional adoption info

Our rigorous adoption process ensures we are selecting the right home for each individual dog and his/her unique personality. This includes an application, home check, veterinary reference check, personal reference checks (only in certain situations), landlord checks (for rentals), phone interview with candidate, and meet and greet with our dog. From there we sign paperwork, pay the fee and send the dog home. We follow up frequently during the first few weeks, but are always a resource to our adopters.
