Why this pet is the one for you:
Hey, I'm George and I am no small dog. I'm a big, friendly guy who wants to be a lap dog just like those little dogs. I don't know that I don't really fit on your lap and I hope that you don't know that either because I will want to be on your lap - regardless of the fit. I will have a strong emotional attachment to my human (that's you). When I am next to you or on your lap, I'm telling you that I love and trust you. I will be hoping to receive love and affection back from you. Of all the cozy places in my home, no place is better than right next to you. I hope you don't mind. I will probably bury my head in your hands and that means that I'm ready for pets and snuggles. Do you want a great big dog who is a lap dog at heart and acts like one? If so, come and meet me. Beware my head is big and I will bury it in your hands. Gentle George, that's me.

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized.
