My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I`m a Television Star!!! I was sent to meet the news crew at Global!

This sweet tall lady has had a rough start to life, coming into care under conditioned. She will need some time in a calm and quiet adult only (or home with older children 12+) environment to heal and learn that homes are a safe place to be. She has been diagnosed with EPI but this can be easily managed though diet and an enzyme powder so we are working on helping her gain weight while in our care. She knows a couple of skills quite well such as `sit` and `shake a paw`. A private training class is required with adoption.

Go meet their pets

Effective March 1, 2021 AARCS began a pilot to manage pet adoption services for The City of Calgary. The goal is to reduce the time adoptable pets spend sheltered, for the overall welfare of the animals. AARCS has an extensive fostering network, which increases the opportunity for animals to be cared for in homes, instead of shelters, while they wait for their new family. Animal Services will continue to carry out medical and dental care and spay and neuters for adoptable animals before they are transported to AARCS for adoption or fostering. https://aarcs.ca/adoptable-animals/
