My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Miracle, but my friends call me Miri. I’m a two-year old Labrador retriever mix and I would like to tell you a little about myself. My first two years were pretty tough. I was owned by someone called a hoarder. They didn’t treat me very nice. They stuck me in a house with a bunch of other dogs and I hardly saw people at all. My home was very dirty and they didn’t take very good care of me. One day humane officers came and took me out of that house, but I didn’t have any place to go. The Cleveland APL stepped in and I’ve been living in foster care since last December. I’m very lucky I have two wonderful foster families that have been taking care of me, but I would really like to find my special FOREVER home . I’m very fearful of many things, especially people, but I am not afraid of other dogs. In fact, in my foster homes, it’s the other dogs that help show me the ropes. My foster families think it would be best if I was the second dog in my new home so the resident dog can help me adjust . I also need a fenced in yard for my own safety! I’m going to need a lot of patience and understanding. My foster families love me very much and they said that I’m a fun-loving girl. I just need someone to show me that things in this great big world aren’t as scary as I think they are. I’ve learned how to walk on a leash, I’m learning to consistently potty outside, and I know that I can learn a lot more. If you give me time and are patient with me, I promise I’ll be wagging my tail for you in no time!
