These ladies are still learning what it means to be a part of a family. They were trapped as strays and brought in mostly feral, but after being inside in foster, they know they never want to go back outside. Their foster home is a little noisier than most, so they still often hide and aren't sure about handling, but they no longer wiggle and scratch when handled. They purr when being held and pet, LOVE canned food, and are learning to relax and play even when their foster mom sits and watches. It is a slow process, but we know that in a quiet and patient home, they are going to be loving additions. Can you give one of these sweet ladies a chance?

We have a weekly adoption fair at Petco in Danville, Va. where we bring some of our dogs and cats. Most are fostered in members' homes. More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated volunteers formed in 2007 to increase adoptions and reduce the kill rate from our local pound. We foster, vet, transfer and love all the dogs that we rescue and make every possible effort to place them in forever loving homes. We also operate a food bank to help keep pets in their homes. We are totally dependent on volunteers and donations from animal lovers like ourselves. We are saving and placing 20-30 dogs a month who would have been euthanized. We need you-Please help us save precious lives.
