My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From his current foster: Pickle is an incredibly loving dog who is friendly with everyone he has met in foster. He loves to be around people and will shower you in kisses and cuddles. He can play and be high energy then fall asleep on the rug in the span of 5 minutes. His favorite activity is to curl up on your lap on the couch and have his belly rubbed.

Pickle is housetrained, has not had any issues with chewing furniture, and is not a picky eater. We crate him when we are at work and at night and he does amazingly well. On short trips in the car, he has loved looking out the window and curling up in the back seat.

Pickle has been learning some tricks in foster care like Paw, Sit, and Stay. He is a fast learner and highly motivated by treats. He loves strangers and will warm up to anyone immediately. On walks, he is very curious and will take his time smelling everything.

So far, he has not been able to interact closely with other dogs in foster. Because of this, he reacts to other dogs on walks by pulling at the leash and sometimes barking. He may do better in a single dog household or need to be slowly eased into interaction with other pets.

We are so sad that Pickle is ready for adoption and will be leaving us, but so excited for him to find his forever home! His cuddles will be missed!
