Hello everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is SweeTea and Texas loves their Sweet Tea so much we thought we'd let the rest of y'all know what you're missing.
My story does not have a very nice start but since I've been in my foster home it has been the best thing since...well, yes sweet tea. I came from a hoarding situation. Me and about 80 other doodles were pulled from a home where we had never been socialized, bathed, or been outside on the grass. So even though I'm around a year old, I've never experience the simple things in life...until now. While I have made tremendous strides in my journey I still have a few more steps to go yet.
I will need a patient person to give me the time to learn all this new stuff. A quiet home without small children where my person would be able to work from home or is retired. A home with another 4 legged furry sibling, through all this they are my security blanket. I will need a secure fenced yard. Outings to the doggie park or car rides are not an option as of now. Hopefully maybe one day in the future I'll be ready for that. These are a must to set me up for a win in this big ole world!
I am very affectionate with my person once I have established that trust. Other doggies are my best friends but not sure how I'd do with cats since I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any yet.
Even with my ruff start I'm a really happy girl that is FINALLY getting to know what it's like to just be a dog, spoiled and loved!!!
I come in at just under 40lbs which is a pawsomely medium size to enjoy backyard playtime and belly rubs on the couch!!

We are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they have been adopted. We use TXCR Transport or Your TX Rescue Connection to move our pups. Most of our dogs adoption fees are 250-300 and transport is 200-210.
We thoroughly vet potential adopters by running background checks, talking to their vet, interviewing the adopter and releasing the animal under contract.
