My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oscar, a sweet and loving 10-year-old pup who is ready to find his forever home. Despite his age, Oscar is full of life and always eager to share his affectionate personality. He loves to show off his big, toothy grin to let everyone know how friendly he is. Oscar is completely house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and even enjoys bath time! His favorite pastimes include cuddling, giving kisses, and soaking up the sun while lounging outside. He's a true cuddle bug who craves attention and would love nothing more than to sleep by your side.

Oscar does have Atopic Dermatitis, which means he'll need lifelong medication and regular visits to a dermatologist to keep him healthy and comfortable. But don't let that deter you-his joyful spirit and loving nature make him more than worth it! He can do well with other dogs but needs very slow introductions and a bit of patience to feel comfortable. Once he warms up, he's a friendly companion. Oscar would be the perfect addition to a home where he can be given the care, attention, and love he deserves. If you're looking for a loyal, sunbathing cuddle bug, Oscar is your guy!

Oscar is currently hanging out in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, you can reach out to his foster at dukie52002@gmail.com

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Charlotte believes in working to improve our community by creating new, loving families, and building a world where there are no more homeless and unwanted animals. This is an ongoing process — for every animal we can connect with a new family, another animal in need comes to HSC’s shelter. As a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the HSC relies on the generous support of animal lovers, grants, bequests, and fees for service.

HSC is not affiliated with any other animal welfare organizations and we do not receive government funding.
