Hello everyone,
My name is Hudson. I would like to share a letter I wrote to my “Mommy”.
Dear Mommy,
You may think I didn’t know, but I did. Our walks got shorter, your bright smile was not as bright, your gentle touch was less often but still given with love. I saw you getting weak, yet trying to stay strong. You ate less, giving me the tastiest bites. As your hair got sparce, I wished I could have given you some fur as I snuggled to keep you warm. Your voice became softer yet you still told me I was your special boy and you loved me.
I remember the day, 6 ½ years ago we came together. I was a small puppy when brought home. Initially using a crate, you graduated me to free roaming when you were away.
As I grew, now 95-100 lean #, you taught me to walk on a leash, stop at curbside and wait to step off on command. I learned sit, shake, lay down and to stay. We played ball, took car rides, visited doggie friends and spent blissful nights snuggling. I learned to be gentle, calm and kind to all, young, old, (probably cats) or other dogs.
I was always so eager to please! You and I were best friends and confidants as we shared everything. You and I against the world.
Recently I saw you crying as you packed a bag. In that bag you placed some of my toys, stuffed animals, a ball and some treats. “Oh Boy, we’re taking a trip!” Then came a knock at the door. You placed a leash on my collar, led me to the door and slowly handed the leash to a kind lady. I saw tears in your eyes, you knelt down, gave me the softest kiss ever and said you were sorry, but you could no longer give me what I deserved.
As I was driven away, my heart sank, but I knew it, knew you were sick and needed to let go. You knew it was the best for us both.
I do want to let you know, I’m getting love and attention, have dogs to play with, new smells to sniff and experiences learn by in my foster home.
Even though I am a happy and I look forward to my finale home, I do remember you. I have a special place in my heart for you, and I dream of us still together. I remember how good it felt to be held, hugged and kissed by you. You have a place in my heart and soul, and I will always love you.
Your boy, Hudson
Please consider adopting Hudson, giving him his forever loving home, special person/family he deserves and longs for. His temperament is endearing as he looks to share and connect for life.

Kitties must be transported in a commercial cat carrier. Pooches require a "martingale collar" and non-retractable leash to go home.
