My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Duke Urkel!

Duke Urkel was entrusted to our care through our Final Wish Program when his owner became unable to care for him. He arrived at FFF on September 5th.

10-year-old Duke is a very friendly, sweet, and gentle guy, who loves people of all ages and is used to being around young children. He spent his life with small and large dog siblings, and he does well with new dogs following proper introductions. Duke knows how to sit and give paw. He's playful, too! What more could you ask for?

Two days after Duke arrived, he was chosen for a two-week Frosted Fling. After spending most of his life outdoors, Duke sure loves the comforts of a home! His Fling Family reports:

"Duke is proof that age is just a number! He is playful, adventurous, loves to run, paddleboard and will join in on any outdoor fun you have in mind. He's the active senior you've been waiting for!

Duke has adjusted amazingly to home life and is happiest by your side, following you around like your devoted shadow. He has mastered "sit and "paw and is working on more commands every day - he's eager to keep learning with you!

Duke is a certified love bug! Cuddles and pets all day. He would rather get your attention than treats, and would love to be by your side 24/7.

Duke is potty-trained! No accidents in the house and no marking.

Duke is dog-friendly! His hips aren't the best, so calmer dogs are preferred, but he does well in public dog-friendly spaces like cafes and restaurants.

Duke is very curious! He loves to explore with a trusted person by his side and he is a quick learner. He has learned how to use an elevator and made successful trips to the beach! He is an amazing paddle board partner!"

Duke Urkel is ready for his forever home. Might it be with you?
