My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Shirley!

Shirley is a delightful 15 lb Yorkshire Terrier mix who’s approximately  6 years old and ready to find her forever home. This sweet girl is a bit shy at first, but she’s coming out of her shell more each day, revealing a gentle and loving personality that’s sure to win your heart.

Shirley is doing well with her house training and has made great progress in her foster home. She thrives in the company of other dogs, so a home with another dog would be perfect for her. Shirley is also kid-friendly, making her a wonderful companion for families with children.

Though Shirley has limited teeth, it doesn’t stop her from enjoying her meals! She’s a trooper who doesn’t let anything hold her back when it comes to eating.

To keep Shirley safe and happy, a fenced-in yard is strongly preferred. This will give her the space she needs to explore and play in a secure environment. While she’s still learning to trust and build confidence, she’s well on her way to becoming a beloved member of the family.

If you’re looking for a sweet, shy, but blossoming companion, Shirley could be the perfect addition to your home!

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are with fosters on the east coast. The location in which the foster resides should be listed with each profile.

We are setting up some adoption events now, but are free for private meet and greets if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets!

More about this rescue

We have a passion for senior animals. To be able to save an animal from dying alone in a shelter, to give it a chance to live out its last days/months/years in a home with the proper care and love it deserves, instead of a cold shelter, is what drives us to keep going.

We obviously have financial needs that come with rescuing senior dogs, so we will be rescuing puppies and younger dogs as well so we are able to care for our seniors.
