KODIAK, a stunning 1+ year old Chocolate and Cream Husky, is a true sight to behold. With mesmerizing eyes that seem to gaze directly into your soul, this handsome boy radiates an irresistible charm. Known as "Ol' Blue Eyes" by some, Kodiak is the epitome of the classic, energetic Husky breed.
Kodiak loves nothing more than romping with his canine companion, Nancy, their lively antics a true delight. Yet Kodiak also has a more serene side, content to simply relax in the shade of a tree with you, observing the world around him. More about this shelter
The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
