My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby is a very affectionate dog that loves to be with her people.

Ruby loves to play fetch in the backyard and is very fast. She also loves to chew on her sturdy toys on her dog bed, or on the grass in the sun. If she gets a squeaky toy it will entertain her for hours, squeaking and throwing it up in the air.

Ruby is a very smart dog and knows all of her commands. She walks well on leash and is a great traveler in the car. She loves to please.

Ruby loves to play with her dog friends, but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. She is good with other dogs in doggy daycare and on walks.

Ruby loves all people and enjoys snuggling by putting her head under your chin and getting close. She doesn't care for young children. She will bark if someone comes to the door, but once they come in she is friendly and snuggly.

Ruby is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. She can be left alone 8 hours and will not get into any trouble. She is also fine being crated if needed.

Ruby would love a home where she is the center of attention. She would enjoy having daily walks and playtime in the back yard. An adult only home would be best.

Ruby is 45lbs. 3 years old. Spayed. Vaccinated and microchipped.

More about this rescue

We are a registered 501(c)(3) non- profit, charitable organization. Our mission is to rescue dogs from overcrowded and high kill shelters, and place them in loving homes. We also strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, and the importance of spay/neuter, so that one day there will no longer be adoptable dogs, euthanized by the thousands in our shelters. We are an all volunteer organization. 100% of donations go directly to the care of the dogs.
