My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is a 4 lb tiny bundle of joy. She is super sweet, loves to cuddle, and especially loves to curl up on her person's lap or in between their legs when sleeping. At a mere 13 years young with likely a rough past hard life, you would never know otherwise with her open willingness to trust people and show affection. Even when her eyesight and hearing aren't not that of an 8 year old, but she manages fantastically round her foster home and yard like a youngster. She is adept at using her doggy stairs to get up and down the bed and couch. Lucy is house trained, and knows how to use pads if her people need to leave her home for longer periods of time - at which time she is quite happy resting in her doggy bed by the door happily awaiting their return. She enjoys hanging out in the sunshine in the yard, doesn't need much exercise as she is so small, but does enjoy short walks with her people and her pack. She loves other dogs and gets along great with her foster brothers and sisters, and is friendly with all people. She is the perfect size to be mobile and be a 24/7 companion wherever her people would like to be, or hang at home with her family happily in their laps. Lucy is a treasure and is ready for her forever home! If you think you are looking for a little girl like Lucy, kindly email us at therealbark@gmail.com!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of our amazing dogs are fully vetted, fixed, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. They are then fostered by one of our experienced foster volunteers, who are able to assess temperament and personality and begin any necessary training. An adoption application, adoption fee, and home check are required for adoption.

Not 100% certain whether you're ready to commit to pet ownership? Consider fostering one of our amazing dogs. It is a crucial piece of the rescue process, and you can play a huge part in saving a dog's life, all the while deciding if that dog, or any dog, is the right fit for your lifestyle! If you know you can't be a forever owner but want to help out and get a little puppy love in return, this may be just the thing for you!

All supplies, food and veterinary care are provided to the foster by the rescue. No costs involved to you - just provide a safe and loving environment and we will do the rest! Fostering can be as short- or long-term as you would like, and we can place dogs with you that are conducive to your lifestyle and preferences (small, large, hypoallergenic, etc.)
