My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet little girl is very affectionate and smart. She is housebroken, gets along with dogs and kids. She wants to play with our cat and has never been aggressive. Our cat is annoyed. We've never left them unattended. She's full of energy and needs a lot of room to run. She chases throw toys and brings them back, and she loves tug-o-war. Daisy loves people and is very engaging. She's a cuddler. She needs leash work and can jump the fence (approximately 3 ft). Did I say she needs room to run? We're doing some basic training and she catches on quickly. She's on the waitlist to be spayed. She showed up with a collar at our place in Tellico Plains and never left. Daisy is in a foster home, but a meet and greet can be easily arranged!

More about this shelter

A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
