Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louie is a 2 year old, 32 lb Border Collie mix. This adorable boy is housebroken and neutered. He does well in a kennel and sleeps much of the day if foster mama is busy working. He sometimes whines when left alone, but isn’t destructive. He would probably do best in a house with a fenced in yard. He does ok on the leash, he doesn’t pull but is still working on walking in a straight line and not tying you in knots. He loves to play with toys but his favorite are balls, and he loves to chase them and will bring them back most of the time. Louie has the energy of a young dog, but would love to spend all day hanging out on the couch with you too. Wherever you are, he wants to be right there with you. When Louie gets going, he gets going! He does great with kids, but would probably do best with older kids that he can’t accidentally knock over during fun time. He gets along great with other dogs, and loves spending hours playing with the puppy that shares his foster home. Louie doesn’t like to share his treats or food with other dogs though. He gets fed in a kennel for his own comfort. Treat time is closely monitored, but as long as the other dogs respect his space there hasn’t been a problem. He came up to us from an overcrowded shelter in OK. He may not have been used to getting regular meals in his former life. Louie is learning about cats and mostly ignores the cat that rules his foster home. He finds it hard not to chase when kitty takes off running, but is easily redirected with a call of his name and he will remember his manners. He just wants to please his people. Sweet Louie is fully vetted, microchipped, and ready for his furever home! He will make a wonderful addition to one lucky family!
To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $300 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs.
