Hello, my name is Ralph, but I love when people call me Ralphie! I was released from a puppy mill back in July of this year and have been learning how to do “life” ever since. The mill shaved me, but my coat is slowly growing back in. It’s taken some time and patience for me to feel comfortable in this new life. I recently underwent entropian surgery on both eyes and they have healed nicely. I am adjusting well to home life; I just do it at my own pace. I‘m a Newfoundland, approx 3 yrs old and 112 lbs (could stand to gain even a bit more). Life has been a bit scary, but I am learning to be a “dog” my foster mama tells me. She also tells me that I am a big brave boy… I’m not sure what that means, but I scare the heck out of people with my size and bark. I would like a quiet home with another dog or two, but no tiny humans as they are loud and move too fast for me while still learning. My hobbies include drooling on my foster mom, hanging out on the couch, playing with my fur siblings, and eating. I have a sensitive stomach so my foster mama helps me not eat things that upset my tummy. Marshmallows are my favorite treat! I am a big goofy boy learning to come out of my shell and not be so scared of life. Mostly housebroken now. I’m neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, and ready for my happy ever after! Do you have the patience and love for a big guy like me?
To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $375 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs.
