Waiting for guardian add
I’m Simon! I am a distinguished gentleman who is learning how to live in a home after a rough start in life. I came from a puppymill in Arkansas that was closed down due to horrid conditions. They say I’m a Maltipoo. I'm doing well with crate training and eat all my meals in there like my brothers and sisters in the home. I go potty outside like a good boy when I'm taken outside on a regular schedule. I'm still learning to go down stairs, but follow the others up the stairs and back inside the house when I'm done. Toys are a recent and fun discovery of mine. I'm also interested in learning how to play with the other dogs in the house my size, but the big one still makes me nervous even though she just wants to give me kisses. I love asking my foster mom for snuggles, but sometimes I need my space so I'll lay by her feet instead. At night though I want to be right next to her while I'm busy away sawing logs. Foster mom just heard my voice for the first time the other day and says I sound much bigger than I am. I'm not sure how to use it quite yet, but because lots of activity makes me nervous I don't want to live in an apartment. No one's really sure how old I am, but my personality is young at heart. Foster mom says I'm just the best boy and for having such a rough start I'm a gem of a guy. I haven't met little humans yet, but loud noises and fast movement scares me so I'd be best in a home without toddlers since they can be scary to me. Older gentle kiddos will probably be ok. Especially if they're used to smaller guys like me. I tend to be a wall flower so I'd probably be ok with a feline companion. Since I'm shy I'll need a lot of help learning to walk on a leash and being confident enough to go on a walk. Foster mom is trying to teach me how to sit, but honestly I'm just so excited to see snackies I just wiggle around because I'm happy she's sharing the snackies. I’m fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and ready for adoption!
To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $300 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs.
