My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What could be more adorable than a russet striped and tawny polka dotted kitty? How about five of them! Only with color-coded collars can their wonderful foster mom tell these iconic gingers apart! They vary a bit in purrsonalities, and all have sleek, easy-care coats, beautiful golden eyes, sugary smiles, and do well with other cats, kittens, and a small dog.
Purrbug extraordinaire Nikki is the most petite of her band of five, but that hasn’t held her back from being the most fearless one, especially in the high-spirited hijinks with her brothers! As an apricot orange girl she’s classically unique, since the majority of gingers are boys. She wears her beautiful, sleek and silky coat proudly. When you’re small, just walk tall could be her motto! “Scoop her up for sweet cuddles and she purrs like crazy” according to her great foster mom! She also gets along with other cats and with a small dog, but would probably do best with a fairly calm environment. Could darling purrgirl Nikki bring her orange star sparkle to your circle of love?

Please note:

  • Nikki is shy and needs a quiet home. (The San Diego Humane Society offers a Shy Cat training class over Zoom.)
  • Nikki is ok with dogs
