My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Ollie was brought in by his previous owner on March 24, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Say hello to Ollie! This sweet, energetic pup is always up for an adventure and loves to play! From bubble popping to tennis ball chasing (he hasn't learned the fun in returning the ball quite yet), he has a blast enjoying life's simple pleasures. Hiking and exploring are right up Ollie's alley, so he would make a wonderful companion for an adopter who loves the outdoors. His adventurous spirit and playful nature mean there's never a dull moment when he's around. Ollie is looking for a home without cats, and with older children who can keep up with his playful antics. He can be a bit reactive towards other dogs, so if you do have a dog at home, please bring them in for an intro prior to adoption. If you share Ollie's zest for life, come meet this happy, playful boy. He'd love to add some love and excitement to your life! Don't forget to bring a leash and collar!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
