My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age:1

Weight: 35

Location: Doylestown

Nicknames: Tater

Good with other dogs?: Yes.
He is still very much in the playfull puppy phase. He's interested in meeting other dogs but is not aggressive. Just like most bullies he can play a little rougher than what most other dogs are used to but will also tire out quickly as well.

Good with cats? other: Seems so but not much contact with them.

Good with children? yes

Activity Preference: Needs a couple walks a day., Low maintenance overall but needs quality outside time.

IQ: Smart

Potato's favorite things: Squeeky toys, belly rubs, short walks ending with laying on cold floors

Potato is good at: meeting people, meeting dogs, staying in a crate, behaving in the house, going for car rides, walking on a leash, cuddling, playing, following commands

Ideal home: children, someone at home most of the day, a fenced yard

Training Needs: potty training, needs obedience training

Health issues: None

Meet Potato

Tater likes to walk up on top of his human and gets put on his back for belly rubs, he WILL fall asleep in your arms. He's a lover not a fighter but is still a puppy and needs guidance from his person. He enjoys his dental bones and will go through them all if you let him. He will most definitely bond with his human and will be happiest by their side as much as possible. You're in for a treat if you can handle this much cuteness.

PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application. Please visit www.AmericanBulldogRescue.org to apply! Remember - Adoption is always the best option! If you can't help by adopting a homeless pet, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to American Bulldog Rescue, 4 Terry Drive, Suite 1D Newtown, PA 18940 or paypal AmericanBulldogRescue@verizon.net. We cannot place dogs in homes with children under 10 unless that dog has lived with kids or is in a foster home with kids. Thank you.

To be considered for adoption, you must apply using our free, online application. Our dogs are fostered in our volunteers' homes, not in a central shelter/location. Only approved applicants are put into contact with the foster family to setup a meeting with the foster dog. Additional adoption info

To adopt one of our love-a-bull dogs, you must submit an application on our website at www.americanbulldogrescue.org. Applications must meet minimum requirements (policies are listed our site). Applicants have their vet and personal references checked . The next step is a home visit by one of our volunteers. Finally, the applicant will be put in touch with the foster family to arrange to meet the dog! If a happy match is made, the applicants sign an adoption contract and provide an adoption donation. The donation is usually $400.
