My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age:4-5

Weight: 80

Location: New Hope, PA

Nicknames: <3 man

Good with other dogs?: No, must live as only dog but is safe with other dogs away from home.
Beef Jerky (BJ), Is such a lovely man. He greets people and other dogs like a gentleman. He is so sweet but after spending quite a few months at the shelter as a court case he doesn't like when other dogs (dogs only) come near his treats or bones.

Good with cats? unknown, will not be adopted to a home with a cat

Good with children? OK for kids over: 12

Activity Preference: Needs in-house activities, Up for a long hike any day., Low maintenance overall but needs quality outside time., Will go with the flow

IQ: Smart

Beef Jerky's favorite things: BJ loves food. He was VERY underweight when he arrived to his foster home.
He loves marrow bones, bully sticks, walks, exploring with people, relaxing in a chair, being cute and soaking up love.

Beef Jerky is good at: meeting people, meeting dogs, staying in a crate, behaving in the house, going for car rides, making me feel safe, walking on a leash, playing, following commands

Ideal home: a fenced yard

Training Needs:

Health issues: none

Meet Beef Jerky

We love BJ. He has a sad story that is well in his past. Being used as a stud dog to make someone $$ he was kept in a crate with 16 other dogs and was confiscated when authorities were called to check out inhumane conditions.

He sat in a shelter for 6 months until the court case was settled. He is now free and happy.

So far we have taken 4 of the 17 dogs and would really love to be able to take in some of the dogs still at the sheltter.

BJ had learned so many tricks. We work with the trained every Wednesday and he is a shining star during training.
This guy lives to make you happy!
