My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5640075 Bungie is a stunningly handsome young boy who needs a safe and patient home where he can decompress from the stress of the shelter. This sleek and smart pup can be a bit skittish at first, but once he opens up, you’ll find that he can be very playful and loving, easily accepting pets and directions from his people. Bungie is not even 1 year old yet, so could use a little training in some areas, as well as some extra socialization. However, once you invest a little time and effort in Bungie, you’ll be rewarded with a loving and loyal lifetime companion!

  • 11 month old black and tan German Shepherd mix

  • 58.5 pound neutered male

  • Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today!

  • Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 7/18/24 as a stray

  • Shows clear signs of potty training

  • Medium energy level - equally good for staying in and cuddling as he is going for a run or a hike

  • Knows basic commands like sit, but is still quite young and very smart, so could easily learn more!

  • Skittish at first, due to the shelter environment, but quickly opens up into a playful and affectionate pup!

  • Could use a little more leash training, as well as socialization with other dogs - is currently more selective with other pups, preferring to keep to himself and observe in the play yard

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
