This helps Partnership for Animal Welfare, Inc. with pet care costs.
Clyde is a tiny but mightly little guy found wandering the streets of Anne Arundal county dirty and matted. The shelter took him in, got him cleaned up, and found an adorable Shih Tzu under all that matting. Clyde is now recovering from his ordeal with a devoted foster who is helping him learn that he is safe and can relax. Clyde is 4 years old and 15 pounds. He likes to be around a person he trusts, and develops trust pretty quickly - especially if you have treats. However he needs to get to know people on his own terms - he doesn't like people approaching him but prefers to do the approaching. Once he knows you, Clyde loves snuggling, rolling over, getting belly rubs, and sleeping in bed with his human.
Clyde seems to like other dogs but especially likes big ones. He walks easily on the leash and loves going for walks. He enjoys treats and appreciates people who give him them. At his fosters he loves to sit in the window seat and watch the world go by. He had quite an ordeal being lost for who knows how long, and deserves a home where he will get the peace and security he deserves.
He has shown separation anxiety at his foster's but is getting better as he has adjusted to her schedule. However he will need a patient person to help him get over that. He needs dog-experienced, adult-only adopter(s) who will work on training with him
We will update as we get to know more about Clyde.
