This helps Partnership for Animal Welfare, Inc. with pet care costs.
Clyde is a perky little guy with loads of personality! He loves snuggling, rolling over, getting belly rubs, and sleeping in bed with his human. He likes to follow his human around, not always needing attention but being near them. He is completely housetrained and knows several commands such as sit, down, and come. He takes treats very gently and shows no food or toy aggression. He walks easily on the leash and loves going for walks. He is a smart little boy who learns easily and seems to enjoy learning. At his fosters he loves to sit in the window seat and watch the world go by. He is playful in the house and able to entertain himself with small toys. He is a good boy when left alone and will take a nap until his person comes home.
Clyde was found wandering the streets dirty and matted. He is now recovering from his ordeal. As his coat starts to grow back you can see the adorable fuzzy guy he really is. Clyde is 4 years old and 15 pounds. He needs to get to know people on his own terms - he doesn't like people approaching him but prefers to do the approaching. When he feels safe he will happily approach you for pets and snuggles.
Clyde seems to get along well with bigger, calm dogs. We think a confident dog would help him feel safer and more confident but he will also be fine as an only dog. He also does well when he meets cats and we think he might have lived with cats before. Clyde deserves a home where he will get the peace and security he deserves. He will need consistent training and is doing well with medication that has made him feel secure. He needs dog-experienced, adult-only adopter(s) who will work on training with him.
PAW would like to find an adopter or foster-to-adopt for Clyde and will support an adopter with training.
