Dog's Name: Babe Skunk (SKU0924SMTMD)
Estimated Breed: Lab mix
Approximate Age: 10-12 weeks
Approximate Weight: 12 LBS
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $500
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi, I am Babe Skunk! My brother, Babe Noir, and I were surrendered to an overcrowded shelter in Sumpter County, South Carolina due to our previous owner's financial issues. Thankfully we have been rescued and given a second chance at life! I have landed a nice foster home, but what I really want is to find my forever home. Could that be with you? They named me Skunk because I have the cutest white stripe down my back. My foster says that I am a very friendly, outgoing, fun and well-behaved pup. I absolutely love other dogs. At my young age, I am in my prime for training and socialization too. I will make a wonderful addition to an active home. Submit an application today and come meet me!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
