WE LOVE DOLLAR.
He’s an 8- year old boy who has spent the last year of his life in the shelter. His pleading eyes seem to be asking, Why am I still here? If you meet him, you’ll be wondering the same thing. He’s such a handsome boy. Just look at him!
He came to the shelter because his owner was no longer able to care for him, but they let us know a number of things about him. He loves kids, although due to his size (70-80 pounds) and energy it might be a good idea for him to be in a home with no small children. He loves to cuddle and will sleep in your bed or in a dog bed or on a couch. He’s house trained too. He can also be left alone free in the house. They said he plays rough with other dogs and from observing him at the shelter we’ve decided he would be best as an only dog in his new home. We’ve also seen that he loves treats and takes them gently.
They said he wasn’t a fan of car rides but he must have outgrown that because I took him to the boardwalk and beach and he did fine in the car. We walked down the boardwalk which was teeming with people and he seemed to be enjoying himself. Then we walked on the sand a bit. He tried to chase a pigeon but was otherwise easy to walk. I felt sad taking him back to his kennel. He’s such a good boy and really deserves a loving home.
Dollar is accepting visitors every day from 12 to 5. Come meet him soon!
