Take the Pet Home
Hi! My name is Anella. I just came into rescue a short time ago after being noticed by passersby for about a week before someone called to have someone help me. I was really scared and trembling when I was taken in because I was really confused and didn’t know what was going on. When I got to my foster home, I was so happy to meet the resident labrador retriever that I forgot all about my fear and immediately felt so much better. I really love having a confident dog to help me navigate situations, so that is something my permanent home must have. Here’s a video of me and the resident dog, a sweet video of us playing and another video of us playing tug . If you are thinking about adopting a dog for your dog, I’m your gal! I also do not mind cats. I play-bow to the cat at my foster home but when he ignores me, I find something else to do.
I am still a puppy with puppy energy and do some puppy things like rearrange shoes and chew on things left on the floor. I am a good listener, though, and can easily be redirected to appropriate things to play with. I am not super food motivated, so I do best with confident leadership and lots of hugs, praise, and fun toys. Did you know that fenced in yards are amazing? I think they are, and I love to bounce and run around the backyard. I’m learning to come when I’m called, but if I’m with the resident dog, who has very good recall, I happily follow wherever he goes.
Now, I need to tell you something important; I am a stage 3 snuggler. After I’m played out, I like nothing better than to be on the couch with my family and snuggle and get pets. I want to be a part of everything, and love my people as much as the resident dog. At night time, I respect that I must sleep in a kennel alongside the bed, and kennel nicely and you won’t hear a peep out of me until morning.
I think that’s all I have to say right now. I’m going to go see what my foster brother is up to and say hi to the cat. I hope to meet you soon!
Anella is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
