What can we say about poor little Auggie… This super sweet boy was most likely dumped by a breeder that could not sell him. Auggie is special needs, but it doesn’t appear to be anything that really impacts his quality of life. He has reduced mobility in his hind legs, which appears to be a neurological problem. His legs move fine, but his muscles lack normal strength which results in him shuffling his rear feet. He also has hanging tongue syndrome, although not a very pronounced case.


His issues do not appear to be degenerative, so most likely this was caused by some physical trauma, possibly during birth… he also has a broken tail at the tip that is completely healed. So while Auggie might not be the best choice for guarding your livestock or chasing off coyotes, he’s a perfect choice for a companion. He’s smart, a little goofy, curious and very affectionate. He is also housebroken, crate trained, and will use a dog door.
