Meet our adoptable dog, Boomer!

Boomer is a 3 year old Foxhound/Tree Walker Coonhound. He is about 57lbs. Sweet Boomer has never know what it’s like to get to be a regular dog, he was used strictly as a hunting dog and when not on a hunt he lived his life in a cage.

Since being in the rescue he has started learning how to be a loving pet! He’s learning how to play and show affection for people and has just been a good boy all around.

What his fosters say about him:

He loves cuddling on the couch and going for walks. He does good with most dogs, just needs a calm introduction. He’s okay with cats but would NOT recommend a home with them. He loves tug of war, he also likes to play ball but is a little confused about the concept of it. In big settings he can be a little nervous. He is a very sweet boy who needs someone who is willing to be patient and help him learn the ropes of being a loving pet.

Boomer is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. Please consider giving this sweet boy his forever home!

Southern Tails Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit, supported by local community donations in order to ensure the physical and medical well-being of the dogs. We rely solely on the financial support of our donors’ generosity as well as any fundraisers we host, and the time and energy of our volunteers.
