Hello, world! My name is Biggie, but you can call me “Bigfoot”! Why the nickname? Well, I’ve got some seriously big paws—thanks to being a polydactyl, I have extra thumbs that make my front paws look like jumbo-sized mittens, just like the state of Michigan!
I’m a 2-year-old fluffy black cat with long hair, chubby cheeks, and a whole lot of love to give. At a whopping 12 lbs, I’m a big boy with a big heart. My playful and loving personality is sure to win you over. I love exposing my belly for some tummy rubs and can’t get enough of being petted. When I’m not soaking up attention, you’ll find me batting around toys and keeping myself active.
If you’re looking for a cat with charm, personality, and a whole lot of love to share, I’m your guy. Come meet me today!
With purrs and big mittens,
Biggie
Biggie is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
