Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fin has been absolutely thriving in his foster home; where he gets to hangout with all sorts of other dogs, people, you name it! As soon as he got with this wonderful family; he was quick to take to the boundaries, rules, and skills to being the best boy he can be - & at about 78 pounds; this was no easy task for his temporary family to take on. BUT they did it! In fact, he's well-prepared to join you for LIFE, at an estimated couple of years old, he is now house-broken, crate-trained, and knows everything down to the tiny skills for living in the house. In fact, he even knows his own size now, which is a miracle in itself, there's not many Danes that know they're Danes! Fin has become the ultimate good boy, as he naturally just adores human attention, praise, and just about most rewards; he has such an inclination for people pleasing that he will do just about anything for it. What we've learned is that he walks nicely on the leash, and knows basic obedience. He fits in just about everywhere he goes, and adding to it; is his goofy personality that will forever steal hearts! If it's not obvious we ALL love Fin here, and you will, too! Without a doubt. & well, if he hasn't stolen your heart already, just apply and come meet him, you will NEVER look back! Until then, well you know where he will be, snuggled up with a foster sibling, or learning even more!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
