My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Attenborough!

Attenborough entered San Bernardino City Animal Control as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on September 4th to become a Frosted Face. He is 9 years old and weighs 61 lbs. Isn't he a handome boy?! Attenborough is very sweet and snuggly, too!

Attenborough is a great walker and does fabulously with other dogs. At the shelter, he had 3 roommates, and he passed his cat test, too!

Attenborough went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and he earned rave reviews! His Fling Mom shares:

"Attenborough (I called him Atty or Happy) needed about 5 minutes to feel comfortable in my home and with my cat and other foster dog. A sunny place to snooze, a soft bed, and tons and tons of tummy tickles is all this guy needs to be happy. He's a super easy, sweet, well-behaved pup.

Atty is reliably house-trained and got our schedule on day one: going out for morning potty, hanging out in my courtyard in the afternoon. He'd go again on a late afternoon walk, then a quick out before bed. He could probably last all day for someone who works outside of the home. Atty also adapts to the energy level of the house. He loved a couple of longer walks (2 miles or so), but he would do fine with just a walk around the block.

Attenborough loves everyone. My neighbor girls (ages 6 & 8) crowded him, hugged him, got in his face (affectionately), and he loved it all. He is full of tail-wagging happiness when meeting other animals. My cat hissed a couple of times when Atty got too waggly for her taste, and he respected that.

More about Atty:

- Knows what it means when the leash comes out and does a prancey dance.
- Easy to walk, seldom pulls. Not reactive to other dogs, bunnies, birds.
- Is totally chill riding in the car.
- Fine with full run of the house when I wasn't home.
- Playful and SO HAPPY.
- Loves smooches, both giving and receiving.
- Say anything to him, and he rolls over for belly rubs!

I took Atty for an early beach walk, and he got the ZOOMIES (which means that I did, too). He had a blast! No interest in the water, but lots of interest in greeting people at Lofty Coffee afterwards.

Atty is a great dog that would easily and quickly fit into any environment."

Attenborough is currently on a second Fling while he waits for his forever home. Might it be with you?
