Sophie is an 8-year-old, eight pound, Yorkshire Terrier and Pekingese mix. She was completely matted, sad, and confused when she arrived at the rescue. However, she quickly warmed up to the people in her foster home and loves to snuggle. Sophie has made so much progress in her foster home. She’s not as weary of new people now and is learning that humans are kind. She is also working on being less nervous around men and is making great progress! She will still do best in a quiet home.
In the right home, Sophie enjoys playing with toys and chewing bones. She is happy to snuggle up in her bed while you work or cook! Sophie is loyal, loving, and a total sweetheart.
If you are interested in adopting Sophie, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
