My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophie, an 8-year-old, eight pound, Yorkshire Terrier and Pekingese mix, was completely matted, sad, and confused when she arrived. However, she's quickly warming up in her foster home and loves to snuggle. It is clear Sophie was not socialized and would do best in a quiet home where she can be the star of the show. She is also nervous around men.

In the right home, Sophie enjoys playing with toys and chewing bones. She is happy to snuggle up in her bed while you work or cook! Sophie is loyal, loving, and a total sweetheart.

If you are interested in adopting Sophie, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
