Meet Benjamina, an adorable Wheaten Terrier mix who’s ready to steal your heart! Rescued from Lancaster on August 20, she’s a small, friendly 3-year-old who’s brimming with affection. Benjamina is great with both other dogs and cats, making her a perfect addition to a multi-pet household.

This little princess loves to be carried like a baby and is learning the ropes of leash training. Although she may not have had much experience on a leash, she’s eager to learn and explore. Benjamina’s sweet and affectionate nature shines through, and she’s sure to bring joy and love to her new family.

Saved from a high-kill shelter on the very day she was scheduled to be euthanized, Benjamina is now looking for a forever home where she can be cherished and pampered. If you’re ready to give this loving girl the royal treatment she deserves, Benjamina will be your devoted and loving companion.

1. Submit the adoption application using the following link - http://aceofhearts.wufoo.com/forms/ace-of-hearts-adoption-application/

2. Ace of Hearts will call you for an interview

3. We'll schedule a private meet and greet or have you attend on of our adoption events

4. We'll schedule a home check (our adoption agreement must be completed in order to schedule the house check to assure that you agree with our contract)

5. If approved, we'll have you do a 3-5 day trial before you commit to adopt (dog will come with all supplies needed)

6. If all goes well, we'll finalize the adoption by giving you an adoption speech and collect the adoption fee (you will return or reimburse us for the supplies)

The adoption fee is a tax-deductible $500, all dogs are current on shots, spayed/neutered and microchipped.

If you fill out an application, we can arrange for private showings of the dog at the foster parent's home.

We can also transport dogs to Colorado with our founder, you must first go through all stages of the application process and be approved to trial first.

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
